SAT SOS provides a strong foundation for mastering the SAT. Classes do not exceed 30 students in order to ensure quality and personal attention.

The first day of the course is dedicated to concept training and review. Our Harvard student instructors will take you through all the material covered by the Math, Writing, and Critical Reading sections of the SAT. Classroom assistants will help you with any individual difficulties you may have.

The second day of the course features a practice test in the morning. During lunch, Harvard undergraduates will answer all of your questions about college life, followed by a lively tour of Harvard. After the tour, you will be given the opportunity to refine skills that need more development in small focus groups of three to five students. The day ends with a panel of Harvard undergraduates who will answer questions about the college admissions process.

Day 1: Concept training and review

Writing & Critical Reading - We begin with the more creative side of the SAT. SAT SOS instructors will guide you through what skills are tested, offering tips and new techniques to help you conquer even the hardest questions. You will learn how to tackle the new essay element of the SAT as you are exposed to methods tried and tested by hundreds of Harvard students.

Math - Students often find this section of the SAT the most daunting part of the college application process. We help you confront these fears by taking you through all concepts covered by the test. Our experienced Harvard student instructors offer tips and techniques to help you tackle the trickier questions.

Day 2: Practice test and group sessions

Now that you have the concepts mastered, you are invited to try out your new skills in a practice test administered under real testing conditions. While the tests are graded, you are treated to a complimentary lunch where you can chat with current Harvard undergraduates about their experiences with the college application process, followed by a tour of the Harvard campus. Once you have heard all the tips and secrets our instructors have to offer, you are divided into small focus groups of three to five students led by Harvard undergraduates to discuss the test and help you through the more troublesome questions.
