The IT Department consists of one manager and one assistant manager who work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year, and 40 hours per week during the summer. The IT Department staff is hired in the fall and trains for three months before officially starting in February and working for one year.
The IT Department is responsible for overseeing all of HSA, Let's Go, and The Harvard Shop technology operations, including the management of three enterprise servers, approximately 100 workstations, 10 printers, 50 phones, and other such systems. The work is fun, exciting, and demands a great deal of expertise. IT Department positions are unique, in that they are some of the only opportunities at HSA which involve daily interaction across the corporation.
The E-Commerce Department consists of one manager and one or two assistant managers who each work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year, and 40 hours per week during the summer. The E-Commerce Department staff is also hired in the fall and trains for three months before officially starting in February and working for one year.
The E-Commerce Department is responsible for maintaining all HSA and The Harvard Shop websites and e-systems, including e-mail. E-Commerce work is some of the most exciting at HSA, uniquely combining creativity, technical skill, and business savvy into a single position. The E-Commerce Team works very closely will all of the agency managers, senior management, and permanent staff to develop an e-strategy to help advance the entire organization. E-Commerce positions do not require advanced technical knowledge, but simply a willingness to learn and succeed in a rich e-business environment.
