The HSA management experience is the best business preparation available to Harvard undergraduates. All assistant management positions pay from $6,000 to $18,000 per year and have a time commitment of 15 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours per week during the summer (except Harvard Distribution Services management and the Harvard Student Resources Bartending Course Assistant Manager, both of which have no summer commitment). Assistant managers are hired in the fall and train for three months before officially starting in February and working for one year.
The assistant manager position is one of HSA's trademark positions; allowing students to gain invaluable business experience above and beyond the responsibilities normally offered to undergraduates. As an assistant manager you will work in a team environment with the manager to preside over the direction and operations of your agency within HSA's supportive environment. No business experience is required, but HSA looks for passionate, dedicated, and eager-to-learn students that want to dedicate themselves to a common cause. In return, HSA provides one of the most rewarding experiences that Harvard offers.
