Harvard Distribution Services has been authorized by the college to place advertisements for Harvard student groups and departments in Harvard shuttles. Harvard shuttles connect undergraduate residential areas with academic buildings, as well as Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. Shuttle ads are seen by more than 25,000 passengers each week. Posters are not destroyed by the weather or covered by a different advertiser.

Professional printing is included in the price, so it is more cost-effective to advertise in the shuttles than to poster around campus. Proceeds from this service are donated by Harvard Distribution Services to Harvard Shuttle Services to defray the cost of providing free transportation to students.
