• Who is invited to come along?

  All Harvard Affiliates are invited to join us at the Cambridge Queen's Head.

• Are Harvard Affiliates invited to bring guests?

  Yes, you may bring one guest per person.

• Are alumni of Harvard University allowed at Cambridge Queen’s Head?

  Alumni of Harvard University are always encouraged to stop by Cambridge Queen’s Head.

• Do I have to show an ID when I enter Cambridge Queen’s Head?

  Everyone must show a Harvard ID when entering, with the exception of guests of Harvard Affiliates. If you are drinking alcoholic beverages, you must also show a state issued ID or a passport.

• What are your hours?

  Our hours of operation are always displayed on our homepage.

• I want to always make sure I know about the pub’s special events. How can I make sure I don’t miss anything?

  Join our “Pub and Grub” Email List to keep up to date on all of the pub’s events. If Facebook is your thing, join our Facebook group.

• What is Restaurant Service? What is Coffee Service?

  During Restaurant Service, both the kitchen and the bar are fully open. Please seat yourself and place your food order at the bar. During Coffee Service, the pub is available for relaxing, studying, and hanging out, but no food is served, and only nonalcoholic beverages are available.

• How do I order food or drinks during Restaurant Service?

  The bartender can take your food and drink orders. We will then bring your food order to your table. Check out our menu to see what we serve during Restaurant Service.

• Can I use Board Plus and Crimson Cash at the pub?

  You can use Board Plus for all food and nonalcoholic beverage purchases, and you can use Crimson Cash for all food and drink purchases.

• How often does the beer selection change?

  The pub always keeps everybody’s favorites, including our signature beer 1636, but every month we like to rotate a couple of new beers through the tap lines.

• Does the pub serve liquor?

  The pub serves a wide range of beer, wine, and malternatives, but we do not serve liquor. Please check out our menu for our drink listings.

• Can I book a private event at the pub? When?

  The pub is available for Private Functions only when we are normally closed. Please check our hours of operation on our homepage.

• Can I rent the pub for a Private Function and serve a catered meal?

  Yes. In addition to our normal menu, we serve food from our Catering Menu and from Crimson Catering during Private Functions.

• Can I reserve a section of Cambridge Queen’s Head for a small group of 20-50 people?

  Sure! There is no charge to reserve a section of CQH during our normal hours. Please contact Scott Smider in advance to place your reservation.

• Can my student group use the pub for a large-scale fundraising event?

  If you rent out the pub for a private function, then it is ok to accept donations for a charitable cause (or donate revenue from an admission charge). However, during our normal hours, we cannot allow fundraising events.

• How can I book a private function or place a reservation at the pub?

  You can book an event by using our online form. We will then get in touch with you by email.

• My band wants to be considered to play at the pub. How can I make it happen?

  Please send us your band’s information. Bands are selected based on talent (of course!) and fit with the pub’s atmosphere.

• Can I suggest a special event or musical performance for the pub?

  The pub is always open to suggestions regarding events, concerts, and performances. Please send them to us.

• What are the numbers and steins hanging behind the bar?

  The mugs are part of the Upper Hall Program.

• Where are the pub’s bathrooms? I can’t find them anywhere!

  Our bathrooms are in the northwest corner of the restaurant.

• When is the pub finally going to sell CQH Merchandise?

  Soon! Merchandise will be available at The Harvard Shop next spring.

• How can I apply to work at the pub?

  The pub employs Harvard Undergraduates. Please send us a cover letter and a resume. We are not always hiring, but we will keep your resume on record for when we need to hire more employees.
