Workshops

The FLP exposes students to an integrated curriculum, including:

  • Entrepreneurship with I Need a Pencil LLC—This segment will interactively explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the stages of enterprise with Jason Shah, a student who successfully pioneered one of the most popular test prep companies in America. It will delve into the definition, construction, and operation of creating a company and the benefits derived from them.
  • Professionalism and Articulation—Led by River Rock Capital founder and Harvard Business School graduate Musab Balbale, this segment provide students the opportunity to understand the secrets of presenting yourself professionally and the skills of communication that is expected of professionals in school, college, the workplace, and in business situations. This interactive workshop helps cultivate the professional within.
  • Idea Generation, Marketing, and Creative Business —his workshop will be led by Steven Maheshwary and Charlene Wang, directors of the Cronin Center for Enterprise which is located at Harvard. Steven and Charlene will lead an interactive seminar on the crucial nature of idea generation, pitching business ideas, and the importance of creative development when starting a business, organization, or even school project. This seminar will instill a mindset with which to view the new business models of the coming decade.
  • Impact: Leadership in School—President of Harvard Student Agencies (the largest student run corporation) Meagan Hill will walk students through an interactive session of Harvard Business School case studies that impart the important lessons in effective leadership in business, in the workplace, and most importantly, in school. Through proper leadership in management training, students will learn how to effectively create and maintain leadership in school and for the future.
