The four-day BLP exposes students to an integrated curriculum of classes, case workshops, career discussions, and career counseling sessions:
Classes: HBS faculty deliver 80-minute interactive lectures via the case method. The classes are intended to cover
elements of business ranging from Financial Reporting & Control to Technology/Operations Management to Negotiation & Decision-Making.
Case Workshops: We invite several firms to present cases from their own company history because we believe that experience
is often the best educational tool for students. The case studies demonstrate the excitement and challenges of conducting day-to-day business
and how the leadership skills that we present can be effectively applied.
Career Discussions: The Career Discussions take place on the final afternoon of the Business Leadership Program, after
the students have been given a strong understanding of business principles. The Career Discussions provide a forum for sponsoring firms to
discuss their industries as well as their unique contributions to the market.
Career Counseling: With an eye towards future recruiting, the career-counseling sessions provide students with help developing
and enhancing particular skills that are necessary during the job search process. These classes specifically aid students in refining their
resumes, interview skills, and their understanding of Business School admissions.
Dinner Events: On selected evenings, the BLP's Primary Sponsors host dinner events at the Charles Hotel.
The dinners provide students with an opportunity to interact with successful members of the business world and to learn from corporate
representatives about life in their industries.
